  One of the most prominent  footballers  across the globe,  Cristiano Ronaldo  recently reached a remarkable tally of 910 official goals and continues to inch closer to the 1,000-goal milestone. It came during a match against Poland in the Uefa Nations League on Saturday. The Portugal team finished strong against the Polish. The scorecard read 5-1 at the end of the match. It’s the fifth matchday of the competition and Ronaldo contributed a couple of goals, including an acrobatic bicycle kick and an assist. Through the stunning triumph, the Portuguese footballer gained his 132nd victory in the national team, surpassing his former Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos’ 131. CR7 became the player carrying the most number of victories in the history of international football.

Mike Tyson-Jake Paul fight: Iron Mike believes UAE ‘could become a main hub for boxing’

  In the main match of a blockbuster Netflix event in Texas on Friday, Jake Paul has beaten the legendary boxer Mike Tyson via unanimous decision. The fight belonged to Paul as he scored 78 points against Tyson’s 74, according to the unofficial scorecard. Paul made a comeback after losing the first couple of rounds to Tyson. Tyson made a return to the ring after a long 19-year hiatus. Initially set to happen in June 2024, the match got postponed after an ulcer flared up for Tyson. On the day of the match, both fighters proudly proclaimed that they are not going to lose. Paul predicted a knockout and Tyson aimed for a vicious victory.   HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Linda Yaccarino, chief executive officer of X, engaged in meticulous discussions on Thursday on the UAE’s strategic directions in the field of digital transformation. X opened its first office in the Mena region in Dubai in 2015. The massive region is home to some of the social media platform’s largest markets. X had 250 million daily active users as of mid-2024. The discussions on Thursday also focused on the pioneering role played by Dubai in offering the finest facilities to the media sector and social media platforms. UAE Aid Agency to further strengthen Gulf state's global humanitarian efforts

The UAE is one of the most prominent donor countries globally. On Monday, President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed issued a federal decree to establish the UAE Aid Agency . The entity shall have full legal capacity to act. The aid agency's responsibilities include planning, executing and monitoring official government support, particularly focusing on disaster relief, early recovery programmes, post-conflict stabilisation, and capacity building programmes. This is a major development by the UAE government to help address the needs of those in need, irrespective of the people's location or identity. From the beginning of 2021 to mid-2022, the country has dispatched more than $3.5 billion in foreign assistance. HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, noted: "This approach reflects the UAE's dedication to addressing humanitarian challenges and forstering sustainable development globally."

UAE and UN health agency sign a host country agreement to solidify partnership

The UAE and the UN health agency have signed a host country agreement . The agency has been in the country for a long time.  Its operations from the Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office Hub in Dubai have expanded 10-fold in recent years. The hub's expanding operations signify the durable logical infrastructure in place and the strategic location of the UAE. But there has also been an unfortunate increase in demand to address health emergencies across the globe. UAE sends 288 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Gaza

The UAE is one of the first responders to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
