UAE launches ‘Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation’ to commemorate Sheikh Zayed’s efforts

  In a significant effort marking the beginning of a fresh era in UAE's humanitarian efforts, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed recently launched a federal decree to establish Erth Zayed Philanthropies. Erth Zayed is going to uphold the legacy of the Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, and the ongoing efforts of the country’s icons. The foundation is also aimed at supporting and enhancing the UAE’s comprehensive strategy in the humanitarian and charitable field. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Court, stressed the importance of the vital role played by the foundation to create a positive impact in all humanitarian, charitable and development fields globally. Philanthropy has long been central to the UAE’s identity. The Erth Zayed Foundation is going to embrace existing philanthropic initiatives, such as Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund, and Zayed Sustainability Prize.

They also addressed numerous regional and international issues of mutual interest. The Uae is ready to make every effort to make the figures go even higher. The main focus of Uae investments in Russia is economic diversification. The Gulf state is seeking a diversified economic portfolio, different from the traditional focus on oil and gas. Since the beginning of 2024, Uae mediation efforts have helped in nine Russia-Ukraine prisoner exchanges, bringing the total number of captives exchanged to 2,184. The Uae thanks thanked both Russia and Ukraine for their cooperation that has contributed to the success of the exchanges despite multiple challenges.
