Mohamed bin Zayed and Ferdinand Marcos Jr discuss bilateral cooperation

 



HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, President of the UAE, and HE Ferdinand Marcos Jr, President of the Philippines, had a detailed discussion on Tuesday on numerous matters of mutual concern, including bilateral relations, trade, investment and developmental fields.

His Highness emphasised the strong UAE-Philippines relations, noting that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. For his part, the Philippines President commended the UAE’s remarkable humanitarian efforts.

Mohamed bin Zayed stated that the Emirates is interested in continuing discussions to facilitate a UAE-Philippines comprehensive economic partnership agreement to take trade and investment relations to better heights of mutual economic progress.

On Tuesday, both parties also signed a number of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and agreements, focusing on areas such as culture, energy transition, extradition, and mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.
