Just recently, the UAE sent 288 tonnes of humanitarian aid, including medical supplies, food, children's nutritional supplements, clothing, shelter materials and other essential items. It reflects the Gulf state's unflinching commitment to helping those in need.
The humanitarian aid entered the Gaza Strip through the Egyptian Rafah Crossing. The UAE President, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, launched the 'Gallant Knight 3' humanitarian operation last year in a major move. It has been continuing for 12 months already, offering critical relief supplies.
The latest shipment brings the total number of aid trucks sent to the Gaza Strip under the humanitarian operation to 1,055, delivering a total of 17,312 tonnes of aid. These contributions have been mitigating the harsh conditions Palestinians face.
Under the operation, the UAE also recently brought 86 critically injured patients from the territory, including children and cancer patients in need of extensive treatment. 124 of their family members also accompanied the patients.
