‘Gallant Knight 3’ humanitarian operation in Gaza exemplies UAE’s commitment to helping all in need


Back in 2023, UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed ordered the Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defence to initiate ‘Gallant Knight 3’. It is comprehensive humanitarian operation that has been trying to alleviate Palestinian people's sufferings for a year.

Under the operation, the UAE has established a field hospital in Gaza. It is still operating despite the ongoing military operation happening in the territory. The facility includes multiple departments and specialised clinics, and has already treated more than 48,700 injured people.

The UAE is also operating a floating hospital for Gazans. Besides that, the leadership has also issued orders to evacuate 1,000 injured Palestinian children and 1,000 cancer patients, and help them receive treatment at different hospitals across the Gulf state.

Back in February 2024, the Prosthetic Limb Centre opened at the UAE Field Hospital in the besieged Gaza Strip, as part of operation ‘Gallant Knight 3’. The facility has a comprehensive set of the latest medical devices to rehabilitate patients and enable to lead normal lives.

Operation ‘Gallant Knight 3‘ is one of the largest relief operations in the sector. Since the beginning of the brutal Israel-Hamas fighting, the UAE has been offering steadfast support to the people of Gaza, sending humanitarian aid and medical supplies.
