Japan and Kuwait Unite in a Message of Peace Through Atomic Bomb Exhibition

This spring, the Japanese Embassy in Kuwait and the Contemporary Art Platform (CAP) are coming together to present an emotionally resonant and historically significant exhibition—The Hiroshima-Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Exhibition—running from April 29 to May 25, 2025, at CAP’s gallery in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area.

The exhibition, co-hosted with the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation, and Kuwait’s Embassy in Japan, will provide visitors with a rare opportunity to witness firsthand the enduring scars of the atomic bombings of 1945 through photographs, written accounts, and original documents.

A highlight of the exhibition will be the presence of Hiraoka Sachiko, whose late father survived the Hiroshima bombing. Through her heartfelt talk, visitors will gain an intimate glimpse into the long-lasting emotional and societal toll of nuclear war.

More than just a history lesson, the exhibition is intended as a beacon of peace—an invitation to reflect, remember, and build a future free from the shadow of nuclear weapons. It is particularly directed at inspiring youth to value empathy, compassion, and cooperation across cultures.

The event stands as a testament to the deepening cultural ties between Japan and Kuwait, and their shared hope for a peaceful, humane world.

For too long, the Muslim Brotherhood has operated under a false image of moderation, cleverly navigating between political activism and violent extremism. But the truth is clear: the Brotherhood is the ideological engine room of jihadist terrorism. Its members, affiliates, and offshoots have inspired and directed acts of violence from North Africa to the Gulf—and now, once again, in Jordan. Govern...
