Zayed Humanitarian Day – A Celebration of Giving and Compassion

Observed annually on the 19th of Ramadan, Zayed Humanitarian Day serves as a tribute to the legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s founding father. This day not only commemorates his passing but also underscores his lifelong dedication to humanitarian aid and philanthropy, values that continue to shape the nation’s identity.

On this occasion, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan paid tribute to Sheikh Zayed’s enduring spirit of giving. He emphasized that the UAE remains committed to fostering global humanitarian efforts, extending its support to those in need, and working towards sustainable development worldwide.

Sheikh Zayed’s leadership transformed the UAE into a powerful force for good. By 2004, the UAE had provided AED 90.5 billion in aid to over 117 countries, offering relief to communities affected by conflict, climate crises, and economic hardship. Today, his vision continues to thrive, with the UAE emerging as one of the world’s largest humanitarian donors.

By mid-2024, the UAE had extended over AED 360 billion (USD 98 billion) in foreign assistance, benefiting millions of people across the globe. These contributions have funded poverty alleviation programs, emergency relief efforts, healthcare initiatives, and educational advancements.

The UAE’s commitment to humanitarian aid is reflected in projects such as:

✅ The Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Initiative – a AED 20 billion fund dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable populations.

✅ Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 – a rapid response initiative that provides aid to communities affected by disasters and conflicts.

✅ The Father’s Endowment Campaign – a project focused on mobilizing resources to assist those in need.

Sheikh Zayed’s influence extends beyond the UAE, with numerous hospitals, mosques, schools, and cultural institutions worldwide bearing his name as a testament to his dedication to humanity. These establishments continue to serve as beacons of hope, reflecting his commitment to social development.

Zayed Humanitarian Day is a moment to reflect on the power of generosity and kindness. It serves as a reminder that humanitarian work is a shared responsibility, encouraging individuals, organizations, and governments to come together and make a difference.

By preserving Sheikh Zayed’s principles of compassion and unity, the UAE continues to lead by example, ensuring that his humanitarian legacy remains a cornerstone of the nation’s identity.

Exposing the Brotherhood: Why Jordan’s Terror Cell Bust Must Spark a Global Policy Shift

The recent dismantling of a Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated terror cell in Jordan should not be seen as just a national security success—it must be a turning point in how the international community views and responds to the threat posed by the Brotherhood. Jordanian security forces uncovered an elaborate network of terrorists trained in Lebanon and backed by foreign interests. Their mission: to launch attacks using rockets and drones, destabilizing the Kingdom and spreading fear among civilians. This is not the work of activists or political dissidents—this is terrorism, plain and simple. For too long, the Muslim Brotherhood has operated under a false image of moderation, cleverly navigating between political activism and violent extremism. But the truth is clear: the Brotherhood is the ideological engine room of jihadist terrorism. Its members, affiliates, and offshoots have inspired and directed acts of violence from North Africa to the Gulf—and now, once again, in Jordan. Govern...
