Advancing Bahrain's Digital Future: Zain Bahrain and Ericsson Collaborate
 

In a move aimed at enhancing connectivity in Bahrain, Zain Bahrain has partnered with Ericsson to develop and expand its 4G and 5G networks. This strategic agreement not only strengthens their existing relationship but also extends management services for three more years, allowing Zain Bahrain to optimize its network operations while improving customer service across the nation.

Under this agreement, Ericsson will roll out its cutting-edge, energy-saving Radio Access Network solutions, featuring the AIR 3229 Massive MIMO radio and the Radio 4466 RAN equipment. These technologies are designed to create a more robust and expansive network while achieving a 20% reduction in energy use, supporting Zain Bahrain's sustainability objectives.

The partnership also includes a Managed Services extension, where Ericsson will utilize advanced data practices to enhance system efficiency and support the rapid deployment of new services. Additionally, Zain Bahrain will modernize its core network by integrating Ericsson's cloud-native Evolved Packet Core solution, part of their two-mode 5G Core system.

This collaborative effort marks a significant step forward in expanding Zain Bahrain's data network capabilities, ultimately facilitating better service for customers and contributing to the advancement of Bahrain's digital economy.
