UAE Strengthens Ties with Italy Amid Major Investment Plans

During his recent visit to Italy, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed emphasized the strong and growing strategic partnership between the two nations. He highlighted Italy’s rich cultural and historical significance and reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to expanding bilateral cooperation.

His Highness noted that this visit underscores the UAE’s ongoing efforts to reinforce diplomatic and economic ties in alignment with mutual interests. Over the years, both countries have made remarkable progress in trade, investment, and innovation, and this relationship continues to evolve.

Further strengthening this partnership, the UAE plans to invest $40 billion in Italy, as announced by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Since taking office in 2022, Meloni has actively pursued stronger bilateral ties with Gulf nations, marking a new era of economic collaboration and strategic cooperation between Italy and the UAE.
