The UAE leadership and its people are playing a notable role in global humanitarian efforts. The Gulf state’s foreign aid since its year of establishment has already surpassed Dh360 billion.
Through Operation ‘Gallant Knight 3’, the UAE has been supplying tonnes of humanitarian aid to Gaza and launched a vaccination campaign to protect more than 640,000 children from the threat of polio.
In an effort to support the people of Lebanon and address their sufferings, the UAE President, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, has also directed a $100 million emergency relief package.
The UAE also has a notable focus on helping people in nations affected by natural disasters, including those in the Philippines, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia and Kenya.
