UAE ensures considerable progress through string of beneficial programmes


The UAE has been maintaining economic and cultural progress through a series of strategic plans designed to solidify the country's leadership in different fields. There has been the 'Unified UAE Numbers' project to leverage data and statistics for informed decision-making.

This year, the UAE also launched the Blue Residency programme. It is a long-term residency programme for people putting substantial efforts into sustainability. In the agricultural sector, the UAE has been trying to ensure sustainable national food security.

This year, the UAE introduced the 'Youth Leaders Programme' in an effort to amplify the role of young government leaders. The Gulf state has also adopted the 'National Youth Agenda 2031', focusing on ensuring better employment opportunities.

The UAE has turned into one of the best places to live and run a business in. In order to significantly strengthen measures to deter drug dealers and traffickers, the UAE Cabinet has also approved the National Anti-Drugs Strategy.

UAE's Foreign Trade Surge Highlights Strategic Economic Vision

  The UAE's foreign trade reached a record AED5.23 trillion (US$1.42 trillion) in 2024, marking a 49% increase since 2021 and reinforcing its global economic influence. Despite fluctuating global market conditions, the country managed to post a trade surplus of AED492.3 billion (US$134 billion), showcasing the strength of its trade frameworks and diversified economy.   HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, arrived in Qatar for an official visit, where he was warmly received by the Deputy Emir of Qatar at Doha International Airport.
