Exploring 10 safest cities globally as per Numbeo safety index


The Numbeo safety index has presented a list of safest cities globally by the end of 2024. The top cities on the list boast friendliness, economic expansion and a high standard of living. Residing in a safe city helps people form enduring relationships.

The safest cities carry a sense of security. Residents of these cities typically experience higher levels of happiness, reduced stress levels, and improved physical and mental health. Communities in these cities openly meet in public places.

Three UAE cities have occupied the top 10 positions. They are the capital city of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. These cities are turning into more secure travel destinations. They are also hosting more numbers of conferences and summits.

The capital city got a Numbeo safety index score of 88.4, securing the first position. Doha is at second (84), Dubai, Taipei and Sharjah got 83.8, Manama is at sixth position (81), Muscat at 7th (80.8), Trondheim at 8th (79.6), The Hague at 9th (79.5), and Munich at 10th (79.3).
