Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Begins Official Visit to Kuwait, Strengthens UAE-Kuwait Ties


The Crown Prince of Dubai, who also serves as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, has arrived in Kuwait today for an official visit aimed at enhancing relations between the UAE and Kuwait. The Dubai Media Office issued a press release announcing the visit and shared photos from the event.

This visit was also confirmed by the official X handle of WAM English and various regional news outlets. His Highness was warmly received by Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Minister of Interior, along with other senior officials.

In an official update on his X handle, Minister of Defence Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed stated, “I was delighted to meet today with His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait; Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah; Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Sabah; and First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Minister of Interior His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah. Visiting Kuwait always feels like being among family and friends. Through this visit, I look forward to strengthening the ties that have united our peoples for over 60 years, as well as enhancing cooperation and advancing the shared vision of our leaders. We wish Kuwait continued prosperity and success, guided by the leadership of its Emir and strengthened by the determination of its people.”

This visit could mark a pivotal moment in UAE-Kuwait relations. Sheikh Hamdan expressed his commitment to furthering the partnership between the two nations and highlighted the growing cooperation under the leadership of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Their shared vision continues to drive development across various sectors, focusing on mutual prosperity.

During his stay, Sheikh Hamdan is scheduled to meet with Kuwaiti leaders to strengthen the partnership and discuss collaboration opportunities in areas such as trade, defense, and sustainable development. Gulf News reported that Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi and Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy will also participate in the meetings.
