In the International Conference in Support of Lebanon's People and Sovereignty, UAE Minister of State Noura al Kaabi led a delegation representing the UAE in Paris, where global efforts to aid Lebanon were underscored.
Organized by French President Emmanuel Macron, the conference saw participation from over 70 countries along with the United Nations, the European Union, and various international organizations. The gathering successfully garnered pledges totaling $1 billion aimed at providing Lebanon with essential humanitarian and military aid.
The UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, has committed $100 million in urgent relief packages to the Lebanese people, along with an additional $30 million designated to support Lebanese refugees residing in Syria.
Minister Noura al Kaabi conveyed the UAE’s serious concerns regarding the ongoing crisis in Lebanon, emphasizing the nation's support for Lebanon's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. She reiterated the UAE's stance on the importance of international collaboration in securing a ceasefire to stabilize the region.
