UAE president in US: Meets Emirati students and Nasa graduates in key reception

 


UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed is currently on an official visit to the US, where he met with US President Joe Biden and several key officials and industry leaders. Their discussions focused on critical matters of shared interest, including the situation in the Middle East and advancements in artificial intelligence.

During the trip, Sheikh Mohamed also had the opportunity to meet with Emirati students studying in the US, as well as astronauts Nora Al-Matrooshi and Mohammad Al-Mulla, who recently graduated from NASA's astronaut training program. The meeting highlighted His Highness' support for the UAE's growing presence in space exploration.

Sheikh Mohamed expressed his delight at meeting the young Emiratis, engaging with them about their academic progress and areas of specialization. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring they have the necessary support to succeed in their studies and careers.

Addressing the students, Sheikh Mohamed encouraged them to stay determined and focus on fields that contribute to the UAE's development goals, urging them to return with skills that will benefit the nation. He emphasized that through their academic endeavors in the US, they have a unique opportunity to represent the UAE's progress and achievements on the global stage, considering themselves ambassadors for their country.

The President also underscored the rapid global advancements in technology, particularly in modern fields, and urged the students to maintain their national identity and values. He encouraged them to serve as a bridge between both cultures.

The Emirati students expressed their gratitude for the continued support from the UAE and their excitement about meeting His Highness. The astronauts reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the UAE’s presence in space exploration.
