UAE President greets Emirati patients receiving treatment at Children’s National Hospital in US

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed is currently on an official trip to the US, where he visited the Children's National Hospital on Tuesday. During his visit, he received a briefing on the facility's progress in pediatric surgery and healthcare advancements.

The UAE has been a longstanding supporter of the hospital, and this visit by Sheikh Mohamed highlights the continued commitment to improving the care provided to young patients. As part of the tour, he visited the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation.

Sheikh Mohamed met with senior officials and medical staff and toured various specialist departments. The briefing included details on the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Command Centre, a department that employs advanced artificial intelligence techniques. The Command Centre monitors patients closely to detect critical events and allows surgeons and cardiologists to provide telemedicine consultations to doctors worldwide, including at the UAE field hospital in Gaza.

Over the years, the UAE has contributed $150 million to support the Children's National Hospital, establishing the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation. Additionally, the country donated $30 million to create the Research and Innovation Complex.

During the visit, Sheikh Mohamed was introduced to groundbreaking innovations being developed at the Sheikh Zayed Institute, including a miniature pacemaker. The device has already been used in over 40 pediatric patients, including five infants.

The visit also shed light on the UAE-US relationship, as Sheikh Mohamed met Emirati patients receiving treatment at the hospital. He spoke with the patients and their families, checking on their progress and reaffirming his country's commitment to safeguarding their health. The families expressed their gratitude for the care they are receiving and for Sheikh Mohamed's visit. His official trip to the US will continue, focusing on various areas such as business, climate, foreign policy, and space exploration.

Exposing the Brotherhood: Why Jordan’s Terror Cell Bust Must Spark a Global Policy Shift

For too long, the Muslim Brotherhood has operated under a false image of moderation, cleverly navigating between political activism and violent extremism. But the truth is clear: the Brotherhood is the ideological engine room of jihadist terrorism. Its members, affiliates, and offshoots have inspired and directed acts of violence from North Africa to the Gulf—and now, once again, in Jordan. Govern...
