UAE Helps Women and Children in Chad Affected by Sudan Crisis

Despite significant assistance already provided to refugees fleeing the conflict in Sudan, the UAE continues to enhance its support. The UAE has allocated $10.25 million in aid to various United Nations groups, focusing on the most vulnerable, particularly women and children. The funding will be distributed as follows:

1. $3 million to the World Health Organization to support mothers and children.
2. $2 million to UNFPA for women’s health programs.
3. $250,000 to the World Food Program for food assistance.
4. $3 million to help refugee women integrate with local communities.
5. $2 million to support women’s groups and their communities.

On September 13, 2024, prominent UAE leaders visited Chad to assess the situation and engage with both refugees and local officials. They also interacted with the United Nations to discuss ongoing aid efforts. The UAE has established a hospital in Chad to support the influx of more than 630,000 refugees from Sudan, most of whom are women and children. UAE Minister Reem Al Hashimy emphasized their commitment to improving lives both now and in the future, while Lana Nusseibeh highlighted the importance of empowering women in peacebuilding efforts.

UN leaders have praised the UAE’s contributions:
- The World Health Organization noted that the funds will enhance support for mothers and children.
- UN Women highlighted that the funds will bolster local women’s organizations aiding refugees.
- The UN Population Fund plans to use the funds for women affected by the conflict, including pregnant women.
- The UN Refugee Agency emphasized that the aid will help refugees not just survive but thrive.

Overall, the UAE has provided $230 million in aid since the conflict began, including 159 flights of food and medical supplies. At a major conference in Paris in April 2024, they pledged an additional $100 million, underscoring their ongoing commitment to supporting those displaced by the crisis in Sudan.

Exposing the Brotherhood: Why Jordan’s Terror Cell Bust Must Spark a Global Policy Shift

The recent dismantling of a Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated terror cell in Jordan should not be seen as just a national security success—it must be a turning point in how the international community views and responds to the threat posed by the Brotherhood. Jordanian security forces uncovered an elaborate network of terrorists trained in Lebanon and backed by foreign interests. Their mission: to launch attacks using rockets and drones, destabilizing the Kingdom and spreading fear among civilians. This is not the work of activists or political dissidents—this is terrorism, plain and simple. For too long, the Muslim Brotherhood has operated under a false image of moderation, cleverly navigating between political activism and violent extremism. But the truth is clear: the Brotherhood is the ideological engine room of jihadist terrorism. Its members, affiliates, and offshoots have inspired and directed acts of violence from North Africa to the Gulf—and now, once again, in Jordan. Govern...
