UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed has ordered the provision of medical treatment for 1,000 injured children and 1,000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip. The ninth group of individuals arrived in Abu Dhabi on January 31, with 49 Palestinians evacuated under the supervision of a specialized medical team.

The UAE’s commitment to supporting Gazans has been highlighted, following a significant deterioration in the health sector’s ability to provide necessary healthcare. Prior to the ninth group’s arrival, UAE hospitals had received 426 patients, and the Emirati field hospital in Gaza has received 2,644 cases.
On November 5, President Sheikh Mohamed ordered the Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defence to initiate “Gallant Knight 3,” a humanitarian operation to address the ongoing suffering of Palestinians in the besieged enclave. The UAE has dispatched 15,000 tonnes of ongoing food assistance and established desalination plants, benefiting over 600,000 people in Gaza. The beneficiaries have expressed gratitude to the UAE government and leadership for the continued humanitarian and medical support.
