UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed visited Jordan on Monday, where he met with His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein. The meeting focused on strengthening ties between the two countries and exploring new opportunities for collaboration. The leaders discussed the need to intensify efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, focusing on areas such as economy, investment, food security, renewable energy, and sustainability. They also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest, focusing on the latest developments in Gaza.

The UAE has increased support for civilians in the Palestinian enclave as the brutal Israel-Hamas war continues. The Gulf state has announced a $5 million allocation to support UNRWA’s humanitarian efforts. The leaders also emphasized the need for a clear political path toward comprehensive peace, rooted in the two-state solution, to ensure security and stability for all. They also stressed the need for diplomacy and dialogue.
The leaders expressed their commitment to bolstering collective Arab efforts towards regional stability. Jordan’s King Abdullah II hosted a lunch in honor of the visit before accompanying Sheikh Mohamed and the UAE delegation to the airport for their departure.
