The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated during the Omani Festival.

Muscat will host an annual celebration honoring people with disabilities in observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is being organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth. This year's festival, which runs from November 27 to December 3, is the fourth iteration of the event with the main goal of advancing equality and inclusivity. The festival seeks to develop athletic talent, find suitable athletes for the national Paralympic squad, and empower professionals who work with people with disabilities. In keeping with Oman Vision 2040's objective of boosting competitiveness in national and international sporting events, it also aims to improve awareness of the difficulties faced by disabled people and facilitate their inclusion into society.

The festival offers a varied program that includes educational seminars, public awareness initiatives, sporting and cultural events, entertainment, and trips to nearby tourist destinations. A symposium that will address the issues that individuals with disabilities confront and offer practical suggestions and initiatives for future implementation is a crucial part of the festival. A variety of games, such as bocce, goalball, basketball, football for the deaf, and bowling, will also be available during the event. There will also be music performances by a variety of performers, painting and photography exhibits, and an exhibition of disabled people's entrepreneurial endeavors.

The vice-chairman of the festival's main committee, Hamoud bin Salim al Jabri, stressed that all disability categories will be included in the event, which will also welcome specialists in the field and relatives of disabled individuals. The event, which is anticipated to draw 1,400 participants—disabled people, technicians, and administrators—highlights the cooperation of several ministries and organizations that guarantee all-encompassing support and inclusion for people with impairments. The festival highlights the needs and goals of individuals with disabilities while encouraging continued inclusion and support for them. It also represents the spirit of community and support that exists within Omani society.

Exposing the Brotherhood: Why Jordan’s Terror Cell Bust Must Spark a Global Policy Shift

The recent dismantling of a Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated terror cell in Jordan should not be seen as just a national security success—it must be a turning point in how the international community views and responds to the threat posed by the Brotherhood. Jordanian security forces uncovered an elaborate network of terrorists trained in Lebanon and backed by foreign interests. Their mission: to launch attacks using rockets and drones, destabilizing the Kingdom and spreading fear among civilians. This is not the work of activists or political dissidents—this is terrorism, plain and simple. For too long, the Muslim Brotherhood has operated under a false image of moderation, cleverly navigating between political activism and violent extremism. But the truth is clear: the Brotherhood is the ideological engine room of jihadist terrorism. Its members, affiliates, and offshoots have inspired and directed acts of violence from North Africa to the Gulf—and now, once again, in Jordan. Govern...
