The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) of Bahrain and the Digital Government Authority of Saudi Arabia discussed potential collaboration during the 7th meeting of the GCC eGovernment Ministerial Committee held in Oman. During the event, Engineer Ahmed bin Mohammed Alsuwaiyan, the Governor of Saudi Arabia's Digital Government Authority, had talks with Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, the Chief Executive of iGA.
Al Qaed expressed gratitude for the strong relationship between the two kingdoms and acknowledged Saudi Arabia's commitment to the advancement of ICT (information and communication technology). Additionally, he recognized the contribution made by the Digital Government Authority in putting plans and cutting-edge technology into action for the digital transformation of government services. Alsuwaiyan has been invited by Al Qaed to take part in the next Digital Government Forum, which will take place in Riyadh on December 19 and 20. Bahrain wants to engage with experts and decision-makers in digital government both domestically and internationally, as well as showcase its innovative experience in digital transformation.
Alsuwaiyan, in turn, highlighted the significance of Bahrain's Information & eGovernment Authority's (iGA) digital transformation efforts and expressed interest in more talks about the country's projects and eGovernment initiatives. He also emphasized the need to strengthen technical cooperation.
