'Sukkar' the First Arab Musical Movie

The MBC Group, a Saudi-based production company, is getting ready to distribute "Sukkar", the first Arab musical movie across the MENA region. This charming story, written by Kuwaiti author Heba Mishari Hamada, is about a group of orphans, including the title character 'Sukkar', who face difficulties in life together. Sukkar is an important narrative that uses the song to depict the journey of these kids as they cling to their ambitions in the face of adversity. It is inspired by Jean Webster's novel "Daddy Longs Legs".

Hala Al Turk, who shot to prominence on "Arabs Got Talent" in 2011, starred in the Tamer Mahdy-directed movie. Sukkar is fundamentally a heartwarming tale of a young child's journey that shows Sukkar and her companions' courage in the face of challenges and still hope for a better future. Ratiba, the orphanage's administrator and the villain of the story complicates the plot as the kids work to improve their lives, hold onto their religion, and give their existence some purpose.

Yasmin Al-Abd, Moataz Hisham, Dima Ahmed, Bavly Remon, Hajar Mohamed, and Mohamed Harbi are just a few of the amazing cast members of 'Sukkar'. Famous people like comedian Mohamed Tharwat and iconic actress Magda Zaki give their star power to the movie, while the musical score, which was created by Egyptian musician Ahmed Saad with lyrics by Heba Meshary Hamada, enhances the emotions of the narrative. The other two members of the creative team behind this unique cinematic experience are composers Ehab Abdel Wahed and Ahmed Tareq Yehya.

Exposing the Brotherhood: Why Jordan’s Terror Cell Bust Must Spark a Global Policy Shift

The recent dismantling of a Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated terror cell in Jordan should not be seen as just a national security success—it must be a turning point in how the international community views and responds to the threat posed by the Brotherhood. Jordanian security forces uncovered an elaborate network of terrorists trained in Lebanon and backed by foreign interests. Their mission: to launch attacks using rockets and drones, destabilizing the Kingdom and spreading fear among civilians. This is not the work of activists or political dissidents—this is terrorism, plain and simple. For too long, the Muslim Brotherhood has operated under a false image of moderation, cleverly navigating between political activism and violent extremism. But the truth is clear: the Brotherhood is the ideological engine room of jihadist terrorism. Its members, affiliates, and offshoots have inspired and directed acts of violence from North Africa to the Gulf—and now, once again, in Jordan. Govern...
