Barbie Movie Gets Green Light for UAE Release

 


Great news for Barbie fans in the UAE! The highly-anticipated 2023 film "Barbie," produced by Warner Bros. and Warner Bros. Pictures, has received approval from the UAE Media Council for nationwide release in cinemas.

The UAE Media Council granted the necessary approval for the screening of the Barbie movie in licensed cinemas across the country. The cinemas are now required to follow the UAE's media content standards and age classification procedures to prepare for the release.

Originally scheduled for release on July 20, the screening date was changed to August 31 without any specific explanation. Nevertheless, the UAE audience can finally enjoy the film, directed by the talented Greta Gerwig, which is currently the highest-grossing movie of 2023, already amassing over $800 million at the global box office.

The film follows the adventures of Barbie and her partner Ken as they venture out into the real world from their perfect pink universe. Starring Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken, the movie has received widespread acclaim and has even sparked a pink frenzy worldwide, with fans donning pink apparel and restaurants introducing pink-themed dishes.

In preparation for the August 31 release, Vox Cinemas has announced the availability of the film on its website. With Barbie's widespread popularity and positive reception, it's no surprise that the movie has also contributed to an increase in Barbie doll sales and creative social media campaigns, including a captivating 3D video of a giant Barbie doll next to the iconic Burj Khalifa. The UAE is ready to embrace Barbie's charm and spread the magic of her pink world on the big screen.
