DEWA Shares Summer Tips to Save on Dubai Electricity Bills

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), known for its role in managing electricity and water supplies in Dubai, has offered valuable summer tips to help residents save money on their bills. With a focus on safety and efficiency, DEWA aims to empower customers to manage their utilities effectively.

One of DEWA's suggestions is activating the "Away Mode" feature, which enables customers to monitor their electricity and water consumption while they are away from home. This feature proves especially useful for individuals who travel frequently or are absent for extended periods. By accessing their DEWA accounts through the website or mobile application, customers can receive daily or weekly usage data via email.

To further reduce electricity bills, DEWA advises individuals to switch off lights when not in use and unplug electrical appliances and electronics when they are not needed. Additionally, installing timers for outdoor floodlights can help regulate their usage. For water conservation, DEWA recommends shutting off the water supply and engaging a specialized technician to check for any leaks or faulty connections.

DEWA has also been embracing innovative solutions to enhance its services. Recently, the authority implemented 3D printing technology for internal manufacturing of spare parts. This approach has resulted in significant cost savings, amounting to AED 509,658 in 2021 and 2022. With over 1,800 spare parts already produced at their 3D printing lab in the R&D Center, DEWA continues to explore and develop this technology.

DEWA's commitment to optimizing electricity and water consumption reflects their dedication to providing efficient and sustainable services to the people of Dubai. By implementing these summer tips and embracing cutting-edge solutions, DEWA aims to assist customers in managing their bills effectively while contributing to a greener future.

Exposing the Brotherhood: Why Jordan’s Terror Cell Bust Must Spark a Global Policy Shift

The recent dismantling of a Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated terror cell in Jordan should not be seen as just a national security success—it must be a turning point in how the international community views and responds to the threat posed by the Brotherhood. Jordanian security forces uncovered an elaborate network of terrorists trained in Lebanon and backed by foreign interests. Their mission: to launch attacks using rockets and drones, destabilizing the Kingdom and spreading fear among civilians. This is not the work of activists or political dissidents—this is terrorism, plain and simple. For too long, the Muslim Brotherhood has operated under a false image of moderation, cleverly navigating between political activism and violent extremism. But the truth is clear: the Brotherhood is the ideological engine room of jihadist terrorism. Its members, affiliates, and offshoots have inspired and directed acts of violence from North Africa to the Gulf—and now, once again, in Jordan. Govern...
